چکیده
Many of the Vibrio spp. are major public health concerns globally. cholerae and parahaemolyticus etiology pandemic epidemic diarrhea foodborne illness, respectively. Poultry has potential to harbor pathogenic spp., which can have a detrimental impact on if they transmitted humans. We, therefore, screened 54 cloacal swab samples from healthy chickens (broiler=27, backyard= 27) detect V. parahaemolyticus. were isolated identified by culturing, biochemical tests, PCR, antibiogram profiles determined disk diffusion method. By 29.63% (16/54; 95% CI: 19.14-42.83%) positive for where backyard had significantly higher (p< 0.05) occurrence (44.44%; 27.59-62.69%) than broilers (14.82%; 5.92-32.48%). was found in 22.22% (6/27; 10.61-40.76%) chicken samples, dominant (0/27, 0%, 0.00-12.46%). In addition, 7.41% (2/27; 1.32-23.37%) broiler, 14.82% (4/27; 5.92-32.48%) samples. The toxR gene all isolates, suggesting presence other virulence genes, whereas no isolates contained tdh gene. Isolated high moderate resistance tetracycline, azithromycin, erythromycin, streptomycin. antibiotic-resistant broiler is concern because possibility food chain contamination

Multiplex Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction Assays for Simultaneous Detection of Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and Vibrio vulnificus
OBJECTIVES A multiplex real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method was developed for the identification of three Vibrio species: Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and Vibrio vulnificus. METHODS Specific primers and probes targeting the hlyA, tlh, and vvhA genes were selected and used for multiplex real-time PCR to confirm the identification of V. cholerae, V. parahaemolyticus,...

The objective of this study was to determine the genetic diversity and virulence factors of Vibrio cholerae and V. parahaemolyticus from selected aquatic environments in Bachok, Kelantan, Malaysia. Out of 50 water samples, 33 were confirmed with the presence of presumptive V. cholerae and V. parahaemolyticus based on biochemical tests. Primers targeting toxR gene specific for V. cholerae (800bp...
متن کاملQuantification of Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio vulnificus and Vibrio cholerae in French Mediterranean coastal lagoons.
Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio vulnificus and Vibrio cholerae are human pathogens. Little is known about these Vibrio spp. in the coastal lagoons of France. The purpose of this study was to investigate their incidence in water, shellfish and sediment of three French Mediterranean coastal lagoons using the most probable number-polymerase chain reaction (MPN-PCR). In summer, the total number of ...
متن کاملLight‐scattering sensor for real‐time identification of Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio vulnificus and Vibrio cholerae colonies on solid agar plate
The three most common pathogenic species of Vibrio, Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio vulnificus, are of major concerns due to increased incidence of water- and seafood-related outbreaks and illness worldwide. Current methods are lengthy and require biochemical and molecular confirmation. A novel label-free forward light-scattering sensor was developed to detect and identify c...
متن کاملMolecular Detection of Zonula Occludens Toxin (zot) Genes in Vibrio Cholerae O1 using PCR
Background: Zot (Zonula occludens toxin) is one of the secretion toxins of Vibrio cholerae in small intestine that binds to certain receptors in the epithelial cells and causes a change in the structure of tight junction. The purpose of this research is rapid detection of zot enterotoxin gene using PCR. Materials and Methods: The genomic DNA was extracted by DNA isolation kit and gene amplific...
